Housing and Resource Centres
After the devastation caused by the passage of Tropical Storm Erika in 2015 and Hurricane Maria in 2017, the Government of Dominica has embarked on a resiliency plan of "building back better" and the promise to build Five Thousand (5,000) homes for residents who lost homes in the two disasters. So far over One Thousand (1,000) homes in the form of Single Dwelling Houses, Townhouses and Apartments have been built in ninteen (19) difference communities around the Island. Other communities will soon see commencement of homes in the near future. Community and Resource Centres are also being built in various communities.
