Housing Recovery Project

The Project Development Objectives (PDOs) are to contribute both to the recovery of housing for households affected by Hurricane Maria and to improve the application of resilient building practices in the housing sector and to Improve the efficiency of the Physical Planning Division through the use of technology and institutional strengthening.
To replace Six Hundred and Seventy Six (676) houses destroyed by Hurricane Maria and enhance the resilience building practices in Dominica

The project seeks to:

• Replace completely destroyed small houses;
• Increase in the percentage level of resilient resident structures;
• Improve in the overall building practice within the industry; and
• Create a functional Management Information System for the data storage and processing of the beneficiary selection and house construction
